your hair is long enough

Human hair extensions are truly versatile and can be styled as if they were your own hair. If you want to brighten up your locks in a very simple but on-trend way, then take a look at some of the pretty clip-in flowers which have hit the high streets. One classic and elegant style which lends itself well to floral accessories is the side bun, which has been seen on celebrities such as Peaches Geldof here. To create your own side bun, firstly work a little mousse or serum through your hair and brush it into a low ponytail. Grip the base of the ponytail and use your other hand to twist it into a best hair weaves tight spiral.Hold the base of the ponytail with one hand, then lift the tail upwards with the other. Begin to coil it clockwise around the base and after one rotation, tuck the end of the tail under the chignon. If your hair is long enough, you might be able to push the tail through the bun and make a knot.

Secure the bun using a few pins or Kirby grips, and then you can add the flowers. You can either use pins with flower detail or secure a flower slide or clip to the side of the bun.
New York may have hosted the world premiere for Sex And The City 2, but last night the girls showed up in London’s Leicester Square for the first UK screening of the much-anticipated sequel. The film’s iconic stars – Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon – did not disappoint when it came to looking best hair weave fabulous.
It was Cynthia Nixon who perhaps turned the most heads by displaying some never-before-seen hair extensions. Her wavy red hair looked pretty against her turquoise Narciso Rodriguez gown.SJP, known for her often outlandish fashion statements, cut a striking image in a strapless black Alexander McQueen dress and an enormous netted head piece by Philip Treacy. Kristin sparkled in a low-cut, vintage gold sequined gown, while Kim opted for a classic Hollywood glamour with a black satin strapless Thierry Mugler dress.

My hair feels stronger

I rather my hair be natural, thick and healthy rather than relaxed, thin and unhealthy. I figured this would be a new and fun experience. So here I come natural hair. lol lol You ladies are the best and I wish you all the best of luck in everything that you do Star of the massively popular ‘Twilight Saga’ Kristen Stewart showed off a new set of hair extensions at the Korean premiere of her latest film, Eclipse. It’s quite a change for the American actress, who usually looks more rock chick than classically chic. However, she added an edgy twist to the sleek clip-in extensions by wearing a pony tail with her ‘real’ length hair sticking out at the top.Kristen completed her fashion statement by showing off her legs in a long-sleeved Prabal Gurung mini-dress and Jimmy Choo heels. Both Kristen and co-star Taylor Lautner signed autographs for fans in Seoul before posing on the red carpet. The pair are busy promoting the latest installment of the Twilight Saga across the globe, having just completed a tour of Australia.Cheryl Cole’s hair extensions almost got her employer L’Oreal into trouble – for making her look too good. In a TV ad for Elvive Full Restore 5, the singer and X-Factor judge says: “My good hair weaves hair feels stronger, full of life, replenished and with a healthy shine. It’s got its mojo back.” However some text on screen quickly adds “Styled with some natural hair extensions.” This ‘disclaimer’ is repeated on billboard ads as well.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received 40 complaints about the campaign. People were adamant that the effects shown on Cheryl Cole’s hair could not be achieved by Elvive as the star was wearing extensions. Some also maintained that the products shown were not suitable for use with good human hair hair extensions.L’Oreal said the ads were not intended to promise that consumers would look exactly like Cheryl Cole, and that the average consumer would understand how effects would vary according to both hair type and how the hair is styled.Rejecting the complaints, the ASA agreed that L’Oreal’s consumer testing appeared to demonstrate that the results could in fact be realistically achieved by customers without good hair weave hair extensions. I finally decided to go natural yesterday. After reading so many post on here I decided I can do it with the advice and experience many of you have. My best hair for weaves hair has not been the same since a year ago and finally yesterday I knew it was time to give up the releaxer. My hair was always thick and lately its loosing its thickness and health.

loves to experiment with her hair

Every Bohyme product I ever had shed like a sick dog so next time before installing seal the wefts. I did not like Noodlehead it seemed to make my curls hard, I just co washed with Pantene/Tresseme comditioner and let air airdry. Maybe a lil cocnut oil if it looked dry.Stacey Solomon has celebrated completing the London triathlon by treating herself to some new human hair extensions. The singer and TV presenter opted for blonde, which contrasted against her brunette locks to give her a very on-trend ‘dip-dye’ look, also referred to in the industry as ‘ombre’, weave for white women where the darker hair colour at the roots gradually fades into a lighter shade. After having the hair extensions fitted at a swish West London salon, Stacey had her hair styled into loose waves – something which has again proved a popular choice this summer.Stacey Solomon loves to experiment with her hair. When she first hit our screens on X-Factor in 2009, she had long, light brown hair with blonde highlights. Since then, she’s tried everything from bleached blonde to jet black – but the light brown/blonde combo with hair extensions seems to be her default choice – and we think this suits her

perfectly! I’m seriously thinking about going back to weaves for protective hair styles until the end of 2011. I’ve scoured bhm archives, other hair forums, sites that sell hair, weave white women youtube, recent hair threads (but then I get caught up in pics/random foolishness and get all off track)…
Geri Halliwell is following in the footsteps of fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, by launching her own fashion range. And, like Posh, she’s given her locks a helping hand with some new human hair extensions!Geri has designed a range of evening gowns for high street retailer Next. At a photocall in London this week, the former ‘Ginger Spice’ Geri wowed the crowds as she sashayed down the catwalk in a floor-length midnight blue gown, complete with a healthy tan and her honey-blonde hair extensions. She also attempted to boost her petite 5ft 1in frame sew in hair extensions with some killer heels. The Geri by Next range includes six evening gowns which are elegant but affordable. They will be available in Next stores towards the end of this year. The main thing about blending is be realistic, only you know what the texture of your hair is. If you have some say it loud, I’m black and proud fist pump afro hair then I am 100% sure Virgin Indian is NOT BLENDING.

styled in loose beachy waves

I have a BoBraz question – I got my first BoBraz two months ago and it’s official – I’m loving it! We did not cut the hair but it has shedded quite a bit. When we first sewed it in – the hair was past my shoulders and now two and a half months later it’s on the middle of my neck. Still looks good BUT I want to keep the length. Jersey Shore star Nicole Polizzi – better known as Snooki – has followed the lead of other kooky celebs by getting coloured hair extensions. Her long black mane has been highlighted with some funky purple and blonde streaks. And the change doesn’t end there; the naturally brown-eyed girl is now sporting some blue contact lenses, to compliment her new hair!Snooki had her hair extensions fitted at the swanky Manhattan salon, Gemini 14. She debuted them during her “Good Morning America” appearance on Wednesday. The new look and slew of public appearances is no doubt down to the heavy promotion she’s doing at the moment for the latest season of Jersey Shore, which began airing last week in the US. The premiere pulled in a record audience and the show looks set to be a big hit on both sides of the pond.
I am reading that I need to seal the weft (with dritz), let it dry and sew the weft in. I got that! What I want to know is: This dritz will alleviate the shedding when I comb and brush the hair, correct? I know it will still shed but I guess just not as much.If we needed any more proof that hair extensions are hot property – then one look at the red carpet of the Teen Choice Awards says it all! A whole host of our favourite teen starlets including Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Kat Graham all showed off some gorgeous hair extensions, styled in loose, beachy waves, as they stepped out at the awards bash this weekend.Twilight star Ashley Greene, who is known for her ever-changing styles, also opted for hair extensions, but wore hers straight, with a slightly off-centre parting.Kim Kardashian was also in attendance at the event, but for a change she went for a high bun, ballerina-style. Crystal Reed and Taylor Swift also chose to wear their hair back in chignons, with some loose tendrils adding some softness around the face.So some celebs chose to wear their hair down, some up, but one thing is for sure – long hair is where it’s all at! My weave artist (and she truly is) recommends I just wet the hair and not use product. I used all kinds of product on it – NoodleHead, Twisted Sister, Curl Activator, Soft Sheen products (I am NOT affliated with any products), etc. What is your recommendation on shampooing and maintaining this gorgeous style.

way too many curling hair extensions

I also believe the reason for that is because I speak so poorly against the biggest advertisers in the United States of America. Google, Yahoo, & the entire Internet, rely on advertisers and have been built on advertising dollars – so the last thing they will do is help me out. . I never thought of that in the beginning though… I was excited to learn this new thing called a BLOG. I thought because it was the Internet, that just the people would propel Killerstrands… so we all could get the word out. The word is serious if you have a daughter. I mean when I can get someone to truly give the 12 Steps of the program I refer to as “10,000 HEADS” an honest > 90-day try – they see — exactly what I am referring to. I have always received the most heartwarming email thanking me for the ones that do….. But I only get a couple a month, which is nothing for the amount of time that we have been at this. I know its hard, but I have found – in my years in the hair industry, that people care more deeply about their hair then they do about their parents ! ! Not their shoes….chocolate hair weave human hair but pretty much most of their family members. A joke of course, but you would not believe some of the things I hear.

I feel & believe with every inch of my soul that female hair-loss begins now, here in southern California at the age of 16-18 – – because of the hideous formula’s these gigantor companies make & advertise on TV every single day of their young lives. They use Sodium Lauryl Sulfate in every single shampoo commercial for hair on TV / magazines & the Internet today, why? …its supersuper – CHEAP ! Remember when you were young, you never thought any commercial could be false, you never thought anything bad would happen to you….we didn’t have people looking into those types of things chocolate human hair weave 20-30-40 years ago. The only reason I did ?? I kept having young, super young 15-16-17 year olds come in with very internally damaged hair. This was before Flat Irons, & those only propelled the problem even deeper. I kept trying to figure out a common denominator…of course 50 – 60 year old women would have this super radical damage from years of boxed color and way too many curling irons, heated rollers, and lousy products…..but none of these young girls good hair weaves used any of those things. It took me over a year to the day it finally hit me as I was driving to work ( where I would do most of my good clear thinking) in the most beautiful canyon in the world “Malibu Canyon”. The one and only common denominator in the old with poor hair health good hair for weaves & the young with poor hair health – – – – was shampoo. Then I spent 2 years trying to learn about the ingredients in shampoos and all about them – remember prior to the Internet as we know it and prior to GOOGLE as it is today !

brushing through the hair

Wow, there is not a hair brand more insane and full of shit than the haircare line referred to as Wen. His claim is that you shampoo your hair with conditioner … conditioner that has a little Suds included. Well, here at Killerstrands we promote not even using conditioner….conditioner is almost the EXACT same formula as hand/body LOTION !! Can you imagine pouring that on your freshly cleaned hair? Me neither. About 30% of all women with length in their blonde weave hair hair, need some sort of de-tangling action and help with brushing through the hair. That is not very many women. A lot of women have short hair, so . . . If you have short hair and are using conditioner of any kind, STOP NOW!I hope you caught blonde human hair weave Saturday’s Newsletter put that and this message together… I am trying to educate you, so you make better choices for your hair products. It matters, its not just YOU with thinning hair at the age of 18 – 20 – 30 – 40 & 50 . truly the NATURAL age hair loss should begin is: 60 not 20 or 30. The products you are using are destroying the hair bulb which is where the hair begins to grow again after it has NATURALLY shed. It is a 4-6 year cycle, if you use grocery store products or blonde weaving hair this crap, you will destroy that bulb. If you destroy that bulb once that hair strand sheds, it will NOT be able to begin to grow once again AND THAT MY KILLERSTRANDS READERS – – is what causes hair thinning, hair balding and destruction of the hair’s health slowly but surelly for those of you with a full head….

Beware, the use of drug store / grocery store / discount department store brands it is going to be the one thing YOU DO NOT WANT IN LIFE THINNING & DAMAGED HAIR.
I thought I would change things up and answer a readers question, I never know what I will write about I just start looking at all things ‘hair’ and see what ‘floats my boat’, and today I wanted to answer this dear woman’s question I have been using Pureology Hydrate shampoo for a few years now and chocolate weave thought that it was a great shampoo. After reading this I looked at the ingredient list and it has ALL of the bad ingredients in it!!! I am very surprised by this seeing as how it is supposed to be a very reputable brand. I was trying to read thru all of these comments and thought chocolate hair weave that I saw Pureology as one of the recommended brands?? Did I see that right? So I’m now in search for a new shampoo and conditioner and was wondering what you would recommend. I cant seem to find your recommendation list if there is one

beauty of natural hair

I sweat a lot at work so I tend to use the hot comb more than I should. My hair is dry and brittle and I’m to the point of wanting to cut it off. Please help. What will help my growth stop breaking off? As many of you know, this month has definitely been the month of events for sure. The crazy thing is we’re only just 2 weeks in!So first off was the exclusivemixer organised by Gidore. At this event us bloggers were introduced to the lovely Charlene Bastien (Global Marketing Director). She very concisely spoke about the Beautiful Textures product range and its aims – basically being a line that provides something for every lady (or man) with multi-textured hair. The fact that it works on multi-textured hair is what stood out most for me when she spoke about this brand. The term ‘multi-textured’ is used to refer to those that have more than one texture on their head and as many of you know…we all pretty much I relax my hair a lot. It seems to grow fast but the ends always break off. One week I’ll have nice hair then the next its all gone. do. eeing as this was only a brief introduction to the range,

we had the chance to mingle, eat, network, eat, take pictures, eat…oh and I almost forgot to mention…eat!!! Understanding that clearly not every event I go to there’ll be food, I had a decent meal before I left home. To my surprise as soon as I entered the venue I was quickly informed about the open bar and food table. Thanks be to my fast metabolism, I ate verrrry well that night. I went on Sunday but didn’t stay for too long, as I had to get ready for the Curls Event I was hosting that evening. Although I didn’t get to experience the event properly…kudos to the The best natural solution is ARGAN OIL. Seriously, you guys have to try this. But make sure there’s no silicone in it, that will ruin the argan oil and weigh hair down. I got Pro Naturals moroccan argan oil and it’s the best one I’ve used so far, I had to order it online from some site called “beyas.ca” but the wait was worth it. My hair extensions weft hair is really smooth and healthy, has been since I started with argan oil! AHB team for the big improvement from last years show. Honestly last years event was pretty disappointing so it was nice to see a change. At this event Mahisha Dellinger the founder of Curls, basically had the opportunity to talk more about her product range, explain how the products work as well as demonstrating.

In addition she mingled with the guests and spoke to them about the curls range and how the products worked. I chose to start because I’ve come to truly appreciate the beauty of natural micro loop hair extensions hair– in this case, the kinks and curls. It’s something that has historically been less appreciated in society to the point that young girls feel ugly with them and can’t wait to straighten them out of their hair, which is sad. So through these beautiful pictures of people that are rocking what God gave them, I hope to give other females inspiration and reaffirm that with this pre-bonded hair extensions hair, one can be absolutely gorgeous. his is more to the London ladies – this rain is truly an e.o.p (enemy of progress lol) especially when it comes to styling options. But do not be dismayed, if you want to tuck your hair away from the wet weather – forget a hat, why not wear a head scarf? Below is a list of UK Black owned brands that have a range of amazing products. I personally have tried out different products from almost each one of these brands and I’m happy to say that they all have great products to offer in terms of best human hair for weaves hair (and skin) care.So for ladies here in the UK searching for products in the US or other countries…why?! We have some amazing stuff among us!If you have any other brands you think should be on the list, just comment below.

apply water to your hair

My daughter seemed to have reg. dandruff that only got worse so i looked it up and it is SD . Fret not! there are Treatments that work and my advise is to see a dermatologist if you can . And even if you have simple run of the mill dry scalp you need to find a product that adds moisture back to your hair- a HumectantI recently heard through the grape vine that Yaya DaCosta (ANTM Cycle 3 – the best cycle in my opinion) just got married!I remember watching her on ANTM and admiring her lovely hair and just how effortless she made having natural hair look.I know if I had to compare the way I style my hair to a ‘natural celeb’ it would definitely be her because she’s just simple. She makes it look nice & classy without doing too much. From then until now, my thoughts haven’t changed one bit! This deep conditioner works so well and to me, is comparable to the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. It’s extremely moisturising and such a treat to my hair when it’s dry. However, as soon as I unscrewed the lid the first thing that hit me was the smell…now it’s not bad, its just not as pleasant as it could be. The smell of this product has been described as sweet, spicy & minty. As some of you already know, my nose doesn’t take too well to minty hair products. Also, I generally just prefer my cheap clip in hair extensions hair products to have a more sweet, fruity smell.

On the other hand, one thing I do like about this product (and the other Original Moxie products) is that this little pot definitely did what it said it would. I made sure I used this on a day my cheap clip on hair extensions hair was at it’s driest, so you could see the before & after effects. More interestingly, despite the combination of the oils & butters within this product…it provided shine and softness withoutthat greasy feeling. For me this product is more a luxury deep conditioner (as it’s not something I’d use every week). When my hair is in SOS mode this is always what I’ve reached for.Improvements? invest in humectants , shampoos that will actually improve your scalp and drink lots of water ( life long journey) and apply water to your hair (light misting daily – generally until the moisture improves, then as needed)I’d love if this product was available in the UK in a bigger size tub (there is one, I’m not to sure if we have it yet)Would I purchase this?Yes, definitely…it works very well for me when my hair is seriously dry. However, it’s more a luxury staple for me.Here’s some useful information about this pre-treatment:*It’s a penetrating oil treatment that restores the correct moisture balance to parched hair weave hair.*This product is great for those with extremely dry hair that need help to recover it from harsh environmental conditions or chemical treatments. If your hair is chemically treated ( ie. relaxer):i would shampoo it something like Denorex and pure olive oil in your hair ( same time) then rinsewith COLD water. ( you can use the rosewater w/ glycerin if you like but it may feel a little sticky on straight hair)THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IS:you are going to have to keep you hair moisturized. Water is elemental. Oil will seal moisture in the hair BUT if there is no moisture in it , you are basically investing in a vault that is empty so yeah , your hair is going to break.

continue into the rest of my hair

My Hair is 3 years old today!!! It’s been 3 years ladies!Although I’m so over counting, I thought it would still be important to show you my before & after’s…and how it’s grown over the years. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of the day I did the big chop (as I didn’t even know anything about natural hair journeys) but the first picture of my hair in it’s shorter days was taken in December (4 months later).Cutting my relaxed ends off & going natural was definitely one of the best hair decisions I’ve made so far.I really hope I’m not alone on this one but…my hair and this rain do not agree! I know some ladies are happy they no longer need to run from the rain. Others even stick their noses up at women who care about the rain touching their heads. Well go on, stick your nose up at me because I do not like wet hair unless I intend on getting it wet (washing, deep conditioning, co-washing, swimming etc). It’s not fun spending an hour or so twisting, braiding maybe even bantu-knotting your hair in preparation for the nextNow I can say months later, my hair didn’t grow significantly longer than it usually does but the hair that has grown in that time is much thicker than the rest of my hair. The Root2Tip oil set were the only oils I’ve been using since I received them so I can definitely attribute some of the thickness I’ve experienced to this.
Can someone please tell me what to do about very dry hair and scalp. I get terrible flakes in less than a week of washing. My edges are very short, dry, and brittle. I’m afraid the breakage will continue into the rest of my hair. I normally wash once per week, blow dry and flat iron to style after washing, then wrap my hair for the rest of the week. I sleep with a silk scarf. I’m sure the blow drying and flat ironing is not the best, but I only do it once per week. Please give advice for stronger, healthier hair.Applying castor oil to your scalp may help make your hair thick in the sense that, the individual growing strands of hair may come out thicker. However, it won’t suddenly increase the density of your hair…that can’t change as it’s genetically determined. So in regards to these products, I noticed thicker strands at the root of my hair compared to the rest of my hair. I like that I’ve seen some difference since using them.

In addition, I was sent the sample size of their Heaven’s Hair Milk, Honey Rain Juice & Twurly Butter. Of all three I loved, loved loooooved the Twurly Butter. First off, this product smelt so good and has made it to the top of my list when it comes to products for twisting/braiding and defining your hair with. Just so there’s no confusion this isn’t some miracle growth product lol. I always get asked ‘What can I use to make my hair grow quick?’ I personally know of no such thing. Products don’t make your hair grow but they can definitely aid in the health of ones hair. Also I always get the question ‘What can I use to make my really really thick? I hear castor oil is good’ Once again…there is no such thing.

Rinse hair with a gentle massage

How to long hair care so beautiful. long and shiny and black, the following hair care tips: Washing When washing your hair, you should treat it with extreme caution. Do not rub hair vigorously, scrubbing and pulling of hair pulling, because it can cause damage to the hair. Rinse hair with a gentle massage and scalp massage while in order to smooth blood circulation Describe what you do with your hair on a regular day.Iusually shampoo/condition in the bath the night before and sleep on it wet. In the morning I just spray some Elnett hairspray at the roots and mess it up with my fingers. I am also partial to the banana clip (so hip, I know, I buy them in bulk in Chinatown!), as I constantly put my hair up and down during the day at work.Oh god, it’s awful, but if I had a choice, absolute silence. I just hate small talk! I had a great hairdresser when I was in university and she got me out of my shell a little bit. That said, I haven’t been to the hairdresser’s in almost three years, so my awkward chit chat is reserved for cab drivers and the security guard in the lobby of my building.Do not tie your hair, let loose. Use a mild shampoo let a moment, then rinse with plenty of water so as not to leave residue on the hair. Finally use a good conditioner to your hair easier to manage. Rinse again. When finished washing and conditioning process, mopping up excess water with a towel wrapped around your head for several minutes. Lekko author article long hair care

Where do you go to get your hair cut?Nowhere at present, but if I had to, I’d go to the fantastic John Steinberg and Associates on King Street West in Toronto. They have a great team over there – really switched on.Have you had any awkward haircut experiences? Weird hairstylists? Horrible cuts? Etc.No big stories about cuts, but I have had an interesting relationship with colouring my hair. The first time I did it I was in high school and I dyed my then-virgin hair with a box of red dye that I hoped would turn me into Anne of Green Gables. My hair turned such a deep shade of auburn it was almost purple. I cried for a week. Since then, I’ve grown more comfortable with experimenting with colour, going over the spectrum of brown and blond with highlights, lowlights, etc. The past few years I’ve mostly used box dyes (whatever’s on sale. Nice ‘N Easy is a favourite). I’ve tried to deny the fact that I’m a blond at heart, but I keep coming back to it. What’s your shampoo?Herbal Essences Long-Term Relationship is my fav, but since I do some beauty editing at work, I tend to test drive whatever we get sent in case I want to write about it.Conditioner? Also HE Long-Term Relationship, the regular conditioner and the leave-in, plus whatever deep conditioner comes in the hair dye box.Often you can give it a boost with something like a deep heat conditioner if you find that your hair is dry or tangles easily. One of the hardest types of hair to look after and keep in good condition is naturally curly hair. Naturally curly hair is one of the types that many people feel that they can’t do much with it and simply have to more or less ‘wash and go’ and leave it as is. However this isn’t true and with the right products and styling methods there are loads of different things that you can do. Naturally curly hair can look and feel amazing but it is often a matter of looking around for the best hair products that are available on the market.went on a mission a while ago to try as many as possible—in the names of both laziness and research—but nothing beats Klorane, which is made with nettle extract. It used to be available only in Europe but is now at Shoppers. It has changed my life. I know how that sounds, but it’s true.Plus, Elnett hairspray, because it’s unbeatable for hold and volume without crunch and Charles Worthington Results Shine Shine Shine Gloss Spray, which also makes me seem a lot less lazy than I am.
